About

Born into a family of history aficionados, my first battlefield tour was at 8 months old: a family trip to the Somme. Throughout my teenage years, nearly every vacation was to the American battlefields in Western Europe, initially the First World War and, later, almost all major Second World War battlefields.

While still in grade school, my father, Randy (Meuse-Argonne.com), introduced me to the National Archives. Over a decade later, I’ve since taken his passion and aptitude for research into my own focus of the Second World War. I’ve carried out research for Holocaust memorial associations, authors, and local historians, on topics ranging from Eastern Front combat operations to the effects of the Allied bombing campaign on German industry.

Having lived in the Netherlands and Germany for over five years and maintaining working knowledge of the German language, I am able to cover in a variety of fields of twentieth century military history. With an extensive network of fellow researchers and institutions all across the world, even if I am unable to help with your request, I’ll do my best to steer you in the right direction.
